Pontic - Caucasian -Anatolian- north Mediterranean - Balkan-Dacian

in Romanian literature indicated generally from the class Festuco-Brometea but also in the vegetation of rocky calcareous outcrops Asplenietea; the pictures to the right, taken in the Balkan Peninsula - Dinarian Mountains in Montenegro - are from Scorzonerion villosae (mesoxeric saxicole calciphile Dinarian grasslands) and indeed Scorzonera villosa was everywhere there though almost totally dried

R34 habitats?

extremely rare and scattered in Romania and the reports on the species in the country are confused

 

 

 

 

 

This species looks like a lilac Allium flavum but is very rare in our flora.

Images taken outside Romania, in Montenegro, not far from the western entrance in the village of Zlejeb, August 2009..
